Privacy Policy
Who we are
UNKNOWN Communications Ltd (“UNKNOWN”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17267360) with its registered office at 271 St. Albans Road, Hemel Hempstead, England, HP2 4RP.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hi@unknowncomms.com.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).
What we collect
We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us:
- Waitlist sign-ups: your name, work email address, company name, and which offering you are interested in.
- Consultancy enquiries: your name, work email address, company name, and the message you write describing what you would like help with.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email afterwards.
We also store your cookie consent choices in your browser’s local storage and use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms from spam (see our Cookie Policy). We do not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing tracking technologies on this website.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and this website is not directed at children.
How we use it, and our lawful bases

We will not sell your personal data, and we will not send you marketing unrelated to UNKNOWN Communications.
Where your data is stored and who sees it
Form submissions are delivered to a Google Sheet operated by us in Google Workspace, and email correspondence is handled through our email provider. These providers act as our data processors.
Some providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the providers’ own technical and organisational safeguards.
We may also share personal data with our professional advisers (for example lawyers or accountants) where necessary, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist data: until our launch communications are complete and no longer relevant, or until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
- Consultancy enquiries: for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the enquiry leads to an engagement, in which case data is kept in line with that engagement’s terms.
- Legal records: where we must keep records by law, we keep them for the legally required period.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it).
To exercise any of these rights, email hi@unknowncomms.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example when we launch new products or introduce analytics. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
